HL7 delivers healthcare interoperability standards

HL7 GForge/SVN Moved to New URL

23 September 2009

The HL7 GForge site is intended to support HL7 Tool Developers (Toolsmiths) and Work Groups in managing their projects. All of the tools available on the HL7 GForge site are designed to support the development and publication of HL7 Version 3 Messaging Standards. These tools carry a license that restricts their use to activities that support the development of standards by HL7 and the HL7 International Affiliate Organizations.

HL7's GForge and SVN services have been generously hosted by the National Supercomputing Center for Energy and the Environment (NSCEE) at the University of Nevada Las Vegas for the past six years. HL7 is most appreciative and thankful for their support. Unfortunately, changes in their mission and funding have led to a requirement for HL7 to move these services to a new site.

The new hosting services will be provided by the GForge Group, LLC. The migration was completed on August 31, 2009. As a result of the migration, the URLs for both the HL7 GForge and Subversion (SVN) repository will change to http://gforge.hl7.org/gf/.

Noticeable Changes

  1. The URLs for both the HL7 GForge and SVN repository will change. A redirect will be set up on the old GForge URL.
  2. You must use your GForge account to access the HL7 SVN repository after August 31, 2009.
  3. Your SVN account will not work anymore after August 31, 2009. If you do not have a GForge account, you can request one from the new HL7 GForge site (http://gforge.hl7.org/gf/).

Members can access GForge by selecting Find a Resource>GForge on HL7.org home page. The link is also available from the HL7 UK webpage "HL7 Tools".
